Queen’s Service Medal 2020
On a dreary wet Queen’s Birthday Monday we were excited to learn that Gwenyth Wright had been awarded the Queen’s Service Medal. Gwenyth is the founder and patron of the Thames Women’s Loan Fund. Her award is recognition of her lifetime of work to improve the lives of women. Since moving to Thames she has been involved in many other successful local initiatives. The nomination was initiated by the Thames WLF committee and had many supportive letters from Gwenyth’s colleagues and friends. Through her acceptance she also highlights others who continue to work for the improvement of the lives within our community.
Many congratulations Gwenyth. Your Women’s Loan Fund whanau is very proud of you.
